| Thanks to its local microclimate, the Poitou-Charentes enjoys over 2250 sunshine hours/year, and is second only to the Cote D'Azur (without the mosquitoes & the Mistral)! Summers are long & hot (but not unbearably so). Winter is mild, although frosty periods are not unknown. | ||

| The region is well served by the national airliines, with regular flights to Poitiers, Nantes & Bordeaux. If you prefer the train, then the excellent TGV will rush you from Paris (Montparnasse) to Poitiers in just 90 minutes. Road links to the region are good. We're a 20 minute drive from junction 32 of the A10 Paris-Bordeaux autoroute. | ||
